Mighty No. 9 Creator Says He Doesn’t Make Games That He Can Play

Keiji Inafune, the creator behind Mighty No.9 and Mega Man, has admitted that he doesn’t make games that are easy enough for him to play. Instead, he likes ramping up the difficulty to make gamers appreciate a good challenge. However, he says that the rest of the staff making the 2D platformer are really good at the game. Inafune also revealed that there isn’t an easy option in the game so players will have to hone their platforming skills before they play the game.

It’s not an option to make a game that I can play! It’s best to make a game that I really have to make an effort to play. My staff, though, are really good.

We don’t have that. Everybody, even beginners, has to deal with what’s thrown at them!

  1. =>Damage control detected<=

    Now he's playing soft music to enchant everyone's ears.

    But it's too late, baby. Oh, yeah. Too late.

  2. Everytime I die in Mighty no. 9, I’ll curse Inafune. “Daaaamn you Inafuune!!” “Next time, play the game yourself you son of a bitch!” “Was this even tested? NO!!”

  3. Okay, if he said he doesn’t make games that he can play easily and he’s staff are good at the game… does that mean his gaming level is… easy-normal?
