Dragon Quest VII Nintendo 3DS Remake Heading To iOS And Android In Japan

Square Enix has today announced that the Nintendo 3DS remake of Dragon Quest VII is heading to iOS and Android devices. At present it is only set to be available to Japanese consumers, but there’s a likelihood that it will be localised. Square Enix has yet to confirm whether the Nintendo 3DS version will make it way over here.

  1. Considering how big the iOS and Android market is worldwide, I wouldn’t be surprised if that port takes precedence over the 3DS version in localization…. But if you take the effort to translate all of one, you might as well bring over both….

  2. //I’ve seen many websites where they said Dragon Quest VII 3DS is coming to the west, counting IGN & siliconera

      1. //I think they said “in French” more likely because the most of the fanbase (correct me if I’m wrong) is located in France

      2. //I also found a page of a DQ Monsters Joker 3 announcement in a japanese magazine, the game is confirmed to be on 3DS, along with gameplay updates, like riding monsters

No localization has been confirmed though

    1. but they haven’t decided to bring these titles over so why bother getting hyped for a game i lost faith with the japanese games when gundam the 3d battle , Ex troopers and beyond the labrynth were never released over here so im not crossing my fingers. Instead i’m going to go for games that are actually confirmed and coming up for sale in the shops that way it saves being pissed it was canceled.

      1. //If you didn’t just read the comment and check the other answers, you would’ve noticed why I’m still “crossing my fingers”

    1. You do realize phones are even more powerful than the vita now, it’s not like they are weak devices that can’t play anything, they even have bioshock on the app store now, and controller add ons are like $20
