hello_kitty_new_nintendo_3ds

It was bound to happen sooner or later, but now it is official. Yes, there’s a Hello Kitty themed New Nintendo 3DS. The New Nintendo 3DS complete with ultra-cute Hello Kitty faceplates is priced up at 17,000 yen ($143). It will go on sale in Japan on November 28th. If you’re interested and you have a regular New Nintendo 3DS you can buy the special Hello Kitty faceplates separately for 2,000 yen. The Hello Kitty themed New Nintendo 3DS is only listed for Japan at present.

  1. All it is, is just a white N3DS with those faceplates (and a kawaii box).
They could just sell the faceplates separate rather than wasting money. Unless this were a pink N3DS then I would actually see some sort of point in releasing it with the system…
But idk… I guess JP really likes their HK…

    1. They are selling the face plates separately. By packaging it with the system it encourages people to get it. It doesn’t need to be special colored, if it were pink instead of white or black it may not look as good if you switch the face plates for something new later on. If a Hello Kitty fan wants the faceplate and doesn’t already have the system then they can buy this and not get a faceplate they don’t want.

  2. Wait a minute. Okay 1. That’s just strange to go for Nintendo. No wonder people still call you out for being “kiddy game company” and 2. That model is about $150 worth in Japan and yet, in America, we get one with a fucking halve AC game over $240?! WTF?!

  3. I like cute things, but this is just too much color. I also don’t like the green bows on that thing. If it was pink and had only several Hello Kittys and her bow then I would like it.
