Talented chalk artist Chris Carlson has recently released a time-lapse video in which he renders everyone’s favorite galactic bounty hunter in 3D. Using a variety of coloured chalk pieces on a curved wall, Carlson was able to create the illusion of a nearly life-size Samus in her classic Metroid Prime design. Based in Denver, Colorado, Carlson has worked on a number of chalk projects over the years, with the likes of Mario, Luigi, Yoshi and Donkey Kong presented in their retro or modern poses.
As a video game fan, the artist has also worked on a number of 3D paintings. Sheik from the Legend of Zelda makes an appearance alongside Falco from Star Fox, both striking their glorious Super Smash Bros. poses. Make sure to check out his stellar work in his portfolio, here.
