Star Fox Zero was Nintendo’s big title for the 2015 holiday season, so it came as a surprise when the game was pushed back to next year. Fortunately, Nintendo isn’t leaving us completely empty handed when it comes to the intergalactic pilot, as they have just launched a teaser site for the game.
Like the recently launched Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash and Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival sites, the Star Fox Zero teaser site displays a banner promising a complete website soon. For now, you can check it out to read a general story for the game, get a glimpse at the unique Arwing transformations, and view high quality production images. Hopefully the full site has enough content to hold us over until the game’s release in Q1 of 2016.

Not excited at all for this.
Why are people being such little babies about this ? Youpeoplebitch about no new starfox game and when one finally is on the way you moan about it like a spoilts load of cunts cant you asshole be happy we are getting a game at all ? Oh wait i forgot todays gamers don’t do that they have to constantly bitch about minor things or if it’s not graphically correct or have that gay ass weeaboo style of audio when they dont even speak the fucking language. if your not in that country there’s no point of having a game in a foriegn language if you never plan to visit it.
Why do you think the people that bitched about no Star Fox and the people that complain about the graphics overlap that much? As someone who complained about the lack of Star Fox games, the graphics were the least of my concerns with the game.
Besides that, your anti-intelectual rant about people learning languages is one of the most ignorant things I’ve read in this site by far. Nice monolingual mentality you have there.
yea i know my way of getting word accross is a little like mariotehplumber except i say morons not moerans. Plus i am just annoyed that with localization most of the time ther’s no english audio option a good example of dual audio is fire emblem awakening the choice boosted sales alot of the franchise and i think more games would benifit from the strategy instead of catering to the weeaboos that are 99.9% of the time total douchebags
What the fuck are you even saying? Most games do feature English audio unless
you’re importing the most blatant moeshit you’re complaining about.
ok, let me say this a little slower and point out what you said. You said andi quote “MOST” games emphasis on “MOST” which means not all games havethe glorious language that is english and not ” ching, ching ,chong ,ching!” with a lazy subtitled port work. Eg One Piece Unlimited World Red, One Piece Unlimited Cruise 1 & 2 ,Attack On Titan Humanity In Chains, DBZ Ultimate Butoden, Project X Zone, And many more i’d name but you would be bored by the time you finished reading. But frankly my point is if a company is localizing a game into a foriegn audience it should have the corisponding language and text, not theoriginal with the subtitles in their native tounge. And Marce2240 kindly watch your mouth please.
First of all, you’re buying a product that comes from another country with another language and culture, and location costs money. Not every publisher has the means to dub every single game out there, and they might be even less willing to do it when they consider that it might not be profitable in the first place.
Secondly: you’re seem to think that you’re entitled to have a game dubbed into English, which can’t be further from the truth. You can expect English subtitles, since consumers need to understand the language to buy the game, but considering the amount of effort that goes into dubbing, dual audio is sometimes just not worth the effort (not to mention, a segment of the fanbase of those games actually prefers the original audio)
And you’re complaining about anime games being in Japanese, of all fucking things. Either make the effort of learning the language if you’re so interested in the first place or stop buying them. Be fucking proactive, don’t act like a spoiled child that just wants everything handed to him, you lazy piece of shit.
The irony in this, insulting people who import games by not knowing the language, then they want all their games dubbed. Also telling you to watch your mouth, when they just called people cunts, assholes and used the word “fucking.”
And the cherry on the top, the first comment they made by calling everyone else self entitled.
Too much tuna, lol.
Yeah, this ‘conversation’ if it can even be called that was insane. I lost a bit of faith in humanity when he said he plays One Piece games after calling the original dub ‘that gay ass weeaboo style of audio’. I mean, I know it’s the most popular shonen since DBZ but come on now. The guy doesn’t have a hint of self-awareness.
LAZY? Ohohoho i’m far from it, as a matter of fact im very active thank you very much. I’m a very talented chef and trainee boxer so saying im lazy is an insult and still you resort to cursing, Are you really that focused on getting your point across you have to go to such primitive lengths as swearign and insults. And the reason i like a game with the english language is simply because i speak not just for me I’m saying this for the people that cannot read so having a game with english audio helps those that cannot read still be able to enjot the game, So going by that logic the only onyl who’s being a jerk is you! So next time kindly think what you say Ok? Thank you and have a moan free life “providing your capable of such a thing”
Thank you for bringing up a more important problem that far outweighs a few people not being able to read subtitles in a video game: the fact they can’t read. Should people that can’t read be complaining about not being able to read subtitles in video games when they should be more concerned about not being able to read other, more important things… like their receipts, their bills, etc? I hate to be that guy but priorities need minor fixing.
true, but most people have soliciters for that but i see what you mean.
Very nice reply focusing on the form and not on the content. Doesn’t change the fact that you’re complaining about weeaboo games in Japanese while saying that they’re cattering to weeaboos, which is nothing short of idiotic (and don’t take it as an insult this time, because by etymological definition you are, in this context, an idiot). And don’t try to act like this position of your on the subject is to support all the good people that don’t speak Japanese. You’re being entitled for the sake of it because, like it or not, it’s either subtitles or nothing with these games. That you couldn’t understand that from my previous post is the true tragedy here, the only “primitive” thing about this conversation is your intellect.
Kindly go back to replying to 5 year-old comments (yes, I saw it) in Sonic announcements, please.
you make me laugh and 5yo? add a few years then you may have my actual age until then quit your trollish moaning
thank you
You have no reading comprehension whatsoever.
Your’e still doing that thing! You know the thing… Oh yes not replying as it’s just getting boring can you …. I don’t know give it a rest and not keep being an ass
thanks
You first, you illetrate, sadly-attempting-to-be-sassy idiot.
can you just stop please! Or are you unable to see that i don’t care anymore for your annoyance? I’m starting to think your getting some sick thrill of this, and if this gets you off ? I’m concerned really i am. after this message i’m ignoring you so pester me all you please as i won’t reply
As I said, you first.
“as I won’t reply”
Show me, then. I’ll wait.
Good call. I already have Star Fox 64 3D so I don’t need another remake.
THEN WHY ARE YOU HERE???????? Seriously, it’s people like you, that seriously piss me off. Not interested in something? Fine. Then why in the flying f*ck are you COMMENTING on the exact thing that you aren’t interested in??? Not interested, don’t make a fuss about it.
Huh, you’d think it would of been up since its announcement. Oh well, I’ll check it out regardless.
There is a text line about multiplayer !? (At the bottom of the site)
So…i think that just means if you play the two player, coop mode, you need more than the gamepad – I just wouldn’t get your hopes up for more than that.
I’m going to stay upbeat that this will be a fun game. I’m worried of course…but I have faith in Platinum.
Just a note, but it does say. “Broadband Internet access required for online features” I guess that could be for updates/dlc or for those that care for the series, multiplayer. It would be a shame for them to not feature some form of hectic war festival given the nature of the game.
I will check out the site for info before its release date.
I believe Starfox was delayed because Miyamoto saw all the negative feedback from E3. I can assure you that game was 99% complete, but Miyamoto after seeing the feedback wanted to address some of the fans issues with the game….
At least this is what I’m hoping…. Because let’s face it, that E3 version of Star Fox Zero was really bad….. It looked slow, dull, lifeless, and most of all boring…. Not the “next gen” Star Fox I had in mind….
Well, visually, it’s not as impressive as it suppose to be. Idealistically, it’s not as original either. Assault HD remake with online multiplayer would’ve done better justice.
how many times have you played this game?
Let’s see. I played the controversial Command, enjoyed Assault and got bored of 64/3D awfully quick. Yeah, plenty of times especially since Zero is 64 in HD.
You never played the game, shut up
Which one is the specific question. lol
Zero is not 64 in HD, so you never played this game that is coming out
Star Fox Zero is meant to be a reboot so therefore it actually is 64 in HD since 64 was just a remake of the original Star Fox game on NES.
got a link for that tidbit? I also don’t remember any walking around in my ship in the other ones or anything else that would indicate that it is, what that troll was saying, which is that it is the same game… reboot, is not the same as remake
Fine. It’s a reimagining of the NES original & 64 remake. So it can still be seen as 64 in HD.
no it can’t… if the levels are all different and the story is different, how is it 64 HD? That simply doesn’t make sense… Slight improvements maybe, but they are rebooting the series (although I hadn’t read that, or don’t remember reading that so I will take your word for it) so it is simply a different game… I am just responding mostly to the other person’s across the board negativity and the idea that saying this is just SF64 HD is a slam on the game
Reboot ≠ remake.
From my understanding, reboot is just a remake of a movie/video game/etc that was part of a franchise. So if Star Fox Zero is really meant to be a reboot of the franchise, it is inadvertently a “remake” of Star Fox 64 since it was a remake of the original NES title. Or reimagining if the term remake is too taboo a word or something.
A reboot doesn’t have to revisit old scenarios or events. A reboot is just a reset button that creates a new entry in a series without taking into account previous canon into consideration. Both DmC and 2013’s Tomb Raider are reboots that disregard every single entry in the rest of the franchise.
In the case of movie series, reboots are often remakes, so I guess that’s where the misinterpretation comes from, but it doesn’t have to be the case.
(And again, SNES title. How would a game like Star Fox run on a NES when it can barely run on a SNES?)
Ugh! I totally forgot Star Fox was an SNES original! *head desk*
And I wasn’t going to point out that the original Star Fox wasn’t released on the NES, but repeating it twice makes me think that it wasn’t a typo.
I don’t think anything will change pushing the date to next year 2016, it will be the same, we can see which direction this game is going a bad one and it won’t be better than starfox assault so if you guys hoping for that don’t think that will happen.
One of the level was amazing where there was a tank with cut scenes style action and loads of rocks were exploding, i really liked it alot from there still we get a new experience using game pad sitting inside of a cockpit the game makes use of 2 screen this is it first of its kind in starfox games and won’t able to get this kind of experience on any console that’s guaranteed, well done Shigeru miyamoto for immersed game to date even it has fault and not perfect.
You’re welcome?
I think Nintendo is and should be nervous about the upcoming holidays. I predict, lower than ave sales. They really needed StarFox. I hope it’s being improved like everyone says, but I’ll be happy with the original build as well.
If it was being improved, it would be a first for Nintendo to react on it’s customer’s feedback.
Except they have more Holiday games remember? Which I’m hoping are Twilight Princess HD and Pikmin 4
Fingers crossed
Or so they say. I won’t believe Nintendo til I see it.
The last video that was up and the screenshots seem great. It’ll be fun
