Video: Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival Japanese Commercial

Nintendo has released the Japanese commercial for the upcoming party game, Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival. Straying from series tradition, the Wii U title brings all of the villagers into a board game,  where they experience various events that are familiar to the Animal Crossing series, such as buying vegetables and competing in fishing tournaments–all to earn the most Happy Points.

As you may notice, the Japanese trailer is all about the amiibo. This game is Nintendo’s first big amiibo-centered project, requiring at least one compatible figure to play, and offering more content with additional figures. As such, the game comes bundled with two amiibo figures and three amiibo cards, which can be seen in the commercial below. Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival launches on November 21st in Japan, on November 20th in Europe, and November 13th in North America.

    1. Yup. They are trying so hard to market it even tho they know the Amiibo will sell regardless. I mean I’ve pre ordered 3 even tho I’m not getting the game. Ugh. What have I done.

It’s sad when a game is made not to let people have fun but to use it as one giant advertisement for another product. :/ But Nintendo won’t hear us over the money they’ll make & over the fanboys that constantly ignore certain things & continue to damage control for Ninty. *shrug* Whatever. I’ll have a PS4 soon so if the idiots at Nintendo won’t give me what I want, I’ll gladly run off to my saving grace of this generation, the PS4, instead.
