Get A Link Between Worlds Theme For Free When Spending $2 In Nintendo Badge Arcade

Are you a die hard The Legend of Zelda: Link Between Worlds fan? Consider dropping by the newly released Nintendo Badge Arcade on Nintendo 3DS and spending $2. Those who do will be rewarded with the (below) theme for no additional charges. However, according to Reddit user locke_5, it seems the theme is only available until November 13th. Have you spent any money in Badge Arcade yet?

  1. I got A Link Between Worlds theme on my 3DS, is this one different? The badge arcade hasn’t been launched in Europe yet, anyways…

    1. Ok. I can confirm, this is a different LBW theme than the one that already exists… It also has a badge Icon on it, so as far as I can tell, it is exclusive, and regardless, it’s different from the one currently sold in the eShop.

It looks pretty good! Whew. Ok. I was about to get pissed there for a moment. Lol

  2. I was wondering if themes that worked well as bachgrounds for the badges would be implemented, and I’d have to say, this is a pretty clever way of doing it.

  3. Rogue Master XenoRidley X3

“Get a free theme when you spend 2 bucks of microtransactions in Nintendo Badge Arcade!” Pfft. Yeah. It’s free all right. Like I said, Nintendo & it’s fanboys seem to like throwing that term around these days.

    1. Free with purchase. It is no different than calling something free in a “buy one get one free” — do you think that is uncommon?

Usually the “buy one, get one free” model comes with the free thing being of roughly the same worth as the thing you just bought.

Does the money I spend guarantee me 10 brand new badges I don’t own with no chance of getting screwed out of my money by ending up with doubles I don’t want? If so, then I can concede that I was hasty in my first comment.

        1. The normal themes costs $1.99, you get this free when you spend $2. Just as your definition of “buy one, get one free”.
