Video: Hyrule Warriors Nintendo 3DS And Wii U Comparison

As you may have already heard there’s now a playable demo for Hyrule Warriors Legends available on the Japanese Nintendo 3DS eShop. YouTuber Tilmen has downloaded the demo and has produced a rather handy comparison video showing how the Nintendo 3DS demo version fares against the original Wii U title. Check it out in the video, below.

  1. All I want to know is: Do I have to play the Cia/Ganondorf story all over again before I can play the new story? Can the new story be transferred over to Wii U version? Can I only get the new characters via 3DS (as opposed to paid DLC for the Wii U).

  2. Can’t wait to play this. Rented it on wii u but it couldn’t keep my interest. However on mobile I know it definitely will seeing as how I can play in short bits

  3. Here’s the real comparison:

    3DS = $40 with all DLC + Exclusive DLC added and playable anywhere
    Wii U = $60 with another $60 charge for DLC and only playable at home on the biggest turd console ever

    3DS = Smart Gamer
    Wii U = Idiot non-Gamer

        1. Those aren’t the point. The point was that Nintendo offered a Zelda game that wasn’t a traditional Zelda- it was Dynasty Warriors in a Zelda skin, and it looked damn good. And it offered another reason to get/have a Wii U. This port takes that reason away as well as make fools of the people who bought it by putting all of the paid DLC AND brand new content for half the price onto a system that really didn’t need the game because it isn’t struggling.

          1. It’s nothing more than an act of desperate Zelda fan service because they got no actual canon game to release..not until NX shows up and even if it does, I’m pretty sure they’ll fuck it up again like Wii U and 2015 E3. I’m not going through that BS again.

          2. The reason why they port it is because the game itself on Wii U was struggling. I highly doubt it broke the million unit sales point and now that move makes everyone on Wii U feel like damn fools for wasting all that money for DLCs while the superior 3DS gets everything for 60% less as well as everything else those fools wasted over Wii U being a “decent” console, which is a big no. It has nothing to offer. It’s just Nintendo’s version of Sega’s console disaster that ultimately killed their console business. Nintendo is clearly on their way to do just that.

    1. Um excuse me what exactly is YOUR definition of a real gamer?! The ones that buy broken games to play alone because it has “pretty” graphics playing rehashed of call of duty halo and most shooters?

      Wiiu had its hard times but it’s content and quality holds up better than the other consoles love.

      1. What contents exactly? It has almost nothing. 3DS puts it to shame, even the fucking PS3-ish Vita does as well. And I don’t give a damn about those scam hype games. I can see their ripoff ploys from 4 miles away. PC/Steam now is probably the only best safe haven for gaming left. PS is a broken copycat, Xbox is a PC wannabe scam and Nintendo lost their shit years ago and getting a lot worse with Pokemon as their sole lifeline left. I’m moving on to Alienware as soon as their price drops and once I sell all of my shit to buy it.

  4. Curious to see how much better it’ll be on a New 3DS vs a regular model. Will it be nearly unnoticeable, or will there be significant differences both graphically and performance wise like in Majora’s and MH4U?

  5. wii u’s graphics are better but the 3ds has more content and should include all the dlc for about the same price or $10 usd cheaper as the wii u version. i might get both, one on the go and one for home or i may just go for either.
