Here’s This Week’s UK Charts

This week’s UK charts are now in courtesy of GFK Chart Track. It’s been another bad week for Nintendo as the only game that has charted this week on a Nintendo platform is Just Dance 2016 for the original Wii console. Two weeks in and 2016 is still being bossed by ‘Call of Duty: Black Ops III’ (-24%) which holds on to No1 for what is now six weeks in succession – the longest unbroken run in the All Formats Chart since ‘FIFA 15’ also managed six weeks in 2014. ‘FIFA 16’ (-45%) slips one place to No3, replaced in second spot by ‘Grand Theft Auto V’ (-16%), which jumps up two places to its highest position since W34 last year. ‘Star Wars Battlefront’ (-45%) drops one place to No4, staying ahead of ‘Tom Clancy’s Rainbow 6: Siege’ (-24%) which sneaks up one place to No5. With no new titles out this week, familiar games jostle for position within the Top 10. ‘Just Cause 3’ (-24%) climbs two places to No6, while ‘WWE 2K16’ (-30%) is a non-mover at No7. ‘Fallout 4’ (-65%) drops out of the Top 5 for the first time, falling from No5 to No8, while ‘Lego Jurassic World’ (-21%) and ‘Minecraft: Xbox Edition’ (-17%) both find themselves back in the Top 10, up to No’s 9 and 10 respectively. ‘Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate’ ( -72%) is not so lucky, crashing out of the Top 10 from No9 to No24.

        >>>The area I’m stationed in known as Sweden is as garbage as both UK and USA>>>.

        >>>Of course I do everything I can to purify these diseases>>>

        1. we both know this chart is similar to a lot of countries but they so eager to criticise other countries they don’t release they have the same chart in their countries as UK or US.

Again the problem is marketing, UK like a lot of countries in Europe suffer from the lack of nintendo presence. What “kill” me the most is that nintendo wants to go after teen and children but don’t even do any marketing at all. the lack of games also accentuate the lack of marketing. It’s no wonder you end with a chart like that.

I think the issue is not just the gamer community but nintendo, and they really need to do some. And people waiting for the NX to be the messiah really go it wrong. Nintendo does not seesm to have learn from the Wii U and NX will have the same fate.

          1. You were the first person to bring up countries, aside from the article itself. And the article is just an informative piece on recent sales. So I don’t know where you got all this criticism from…

            1. well firstly I bring it explicitly but there is a comment above stating the chart in Uk is always the same. Secondly let’s face it, every single week you will have some saying that UK has bad taste in game (called it preventive action). My point is that person where ever he/she comes from will have the same chart.

                1. well on that one is really subjective. Personally I am not a COD fans thank to my cousin who I never told him I have a PS3.

Most of These are games on that list do not attract me, but because they are not my cup of tea I can diss the people or a nation in that case who buy this type of games or don’t buy Mario and co.

So in nutshell “the UK has bad taste in games” doesn’t make it more true cause you or me don’t like those games.

                  1. Oh, no. Don’t get me wrong. I’m not dissing those games because they are not Nintendo games. I’m dissing them because there has been a noticeable dip in quality in most of those franchises. Some were hardly of the highest quality to begin with, but the change is noticeable nevertheless.

Take Call of Duty, as the usual scapegoat and flag game for this kind of speech. Believe it or not, it was a great franchise at one point, it used to push the standard of console FPSs in a way few of other series dared. Call of Duty 4 was a great war game in the sense that it showcased the crude reality of war without rejoicing in overpatriotic or tacticool bullshit. Modern Warfare featured one of my favorite tutorials ever and one of my favorite opening cinematics on a shooter. As I said, the games oozed design quality in the most surprising and unsuspected places.

                    Then everything went to shit.

            >>>I’m done with everything except 3 tyrants which are very difficult to beat, I’ll try to play a bit during the weekend and see if I can beat at least one if them>>>
