Nintendo Says It Is ‘Looking’ At The Virtual Reality Sector

Video game industry analyst Dr. Serkan Toto is reporting that Nintendo mentioned Virtual Reality during today’s investors briefing. However, the company simply stated that it is something they are looking at. This doesn’t mean that they are busy creating their own Virtual Reality product, but they are watching the market.

That’s according to games industry analyst Serkan Toto, who reported that the prospect of virtual reality was noted during Nintendo’s recent investor briefing, with the platform holder simply acknowledging that it was ‘looking’ at the sector.

Right. But it’s something that they must get a hold of. Like motion controls. virtual reality is the next fucking thing to wow the consumers.

-||Yes but without proper use and regular great game released, then it will fade into the gimmick side where it had great potential but used poorly||-

-||Like the Wii and even worse the Wii U obviously||-

That is also correct. But every console is going to be targeting the same Vr technology. This is where I think nintendo surpasses the competitors with their uniqueness. Sure the Vr shouldn’t be the main control option but it should be treated like one and like you said before in a fucking proper way.

Fucking brilliant! The Vr tech would make that game flawlessly good. Can just imagine having samus’ helmet on right now. I think nintendo has already nailed Vr technology though. Points at the 3ds.

Vr starfox…. yeah I don’t know about that one. Your in a spaceship. Controlling would be fucking weird lol.

-||Of course, my logic is undeniable||-

-||The only thing they have to “nail” now is making games that make at least a 98.9% fit for the technology or higher||-

-||Metroid of course has to be flawless||-

I wouldn’t say “undeniable” but O fucking kay.
Yeah pretty much all the games that use it are fucking rubbish. Face invaders? The fuck? But they’re just trying let us have some familiarities with the tech before it’s unleashed.

Yeah I know. I need more stroge probes. But don’t know where to find them. The amount of Miranium I have now gets me by some missions but others I just don’t simply have enough.

                  2. I think the difference though was that Nintendo was the first out of the gate with motion controls. If you wanted to play in that new and innovative way, you needed to buy a Wii. By the time they get a VR headset to consumers, they’d already be way behind the curve with Oculus and PlayStation VR having the bulk of the market. I see them sitting this one out and trying to find that next, next thing to wow customers unless VR takes off in such a way that consumers expect it as a normal and required part of gameplay.

              2. Yeah…”looking” Miyamoto looked at it before, he didn’t like it. That’s like me saying I walked by a Mcdonalds and looked at it. That doesn’t mean I’m actually doing anything with it.

              3. This dude again… I still don’t get how he can run a big company, and Tweet all this info. Especially if he’s working with Nintendo. Japanese companies are really private..

If all these rumors are true, though… Then they do seem promising. Even though Miyahon is probably constantly looking at ideas for Nintendo :p

              4. Nintendo really needs to prepare for VR taking off, and how to capitalize on it. I’m personally getting an oculus rift. Can’t help it, saw some demos that blew me away. Nintendo needs to go ahead and make a VR headset…I could not even imagine running through Hyrule in first person in VR. Or playing through a dungeon, or fighting a huge boss. That would be incredible… Honestly it would be a dream come true.

              5. ~*Let the shackles be released!*~ Chains of Lucifer X3 ~*Or fall forever!*~

VR is not going to be the future of gaming. Least not for a very long time. Why? Because not everyone can handle 3D for long periods of time & Virtual Reality is 3D to the extreme. Unless they can cure motion sickness, anxiety, & a plethora of other things that effect our nervous system in the next 25-50 years, not gonna happen.
