Video: GameXplain Has Debuted First Episode Of Missing In Action Series

GameXplain has launched the first episode of a brand new video series. Entitled “Missing In Action”, the series will focus on game elements that have vanished over the years. Although the staff have had a say in today’s episode, fans can also chime in to recommend game elements they wish to see featured in a future episode.

The first episode focuses on Sarasaland, which is the home of Daisy. Sarasaland hasn’t been seen since the 1989 title Super Mario Land and has been referenced only a few times in recent years. In the span of six minutes, the GameXplain staff explain what the origins of Sarasaland are. Feel free to check out the video below and let us know what game elements you’d like to see GameXplain cover in the next episode in the comments.

  1. It’s too bad that Nintendo has never revisited Sarasaland.

I mean, it’s practically a blank slate at this point. They can do whatever they want with it to make it unique.

  2. I would love it if they revisited Sarasaland in possibly the next Main title Mario handheld game for NX handheld. If they did that as the successor to Super Mario Land 3D, this would give us a much needed refreshing landscape to what has become a repetitive tradition…

Nintendo had showed “glimpses” of brilliance with Mario 3D Land. I hope it finally gets refined and the Mario handheld game we have all been waiting for comes to fruition..

  4. I think it would be cool to have the next major Mario title on the NX focus on Sarasaland, and have Daisy as the main star (well, playing the parts that Peach normally would). It would be a breath of fresh air, and also give Daisy a stronger role for a change.

    1. Be nice if Luigi replaced Mario too. It’s about time he started rescuing ‘his’ princess instead of just helping his bro get some sweet sweet lov—I mean cake. Sweet sweet cake. Mario could always be ‘player 2’ in that game. Be a fun little twist.

Super Mario Land is one of my favorite game boy games. I beat a million times. I love it.

  6. ~*Let the shackles be released!*~ Chains of Lucifer X3 ~*Or fall forever!*~

~*I wonder if Sarasaland hasn’t gotten any love since then because of Super Mario Bros: The Movie.*~
