Japan: Super Famicom Edition New Nintendo 3DS XL Pre-orders Open

Nintendo Japan has announced today that the special edition Super Famicom Edition New Nintendo 3DS XL console is available for pre-order. Japanese consumers have until April 27 at 11:59 a.m. JST to put their pre-orders in and after that it’s simply too late. The Super Famicom Edition New 3DS XL costs 21,600 yen and you will have to cough up an additional 514 yen for shipping. It will ship in late July and here’s what it includes:

The Super Famicom Edition New 3DS XL hardware, theme download code, a stylus, a 4GB micro SDHC memory card, AR cards, easy start guide, user manual, and warranty certificate.

  1. I'm just an Animal Crossing

    I still have not bought a “NEW” 3DS because I’m convinced it was at the end of its gen life cycle. I was so surprised to hear Nintendo say it’s still got tons of life left in it.
    My regular 3DS is starting to feel more retro especially with all those retro games on it. But I love it. It’s one of the best if not the best handheld they’ve made to date. It’s up there with the original GameBoy/color for me.

  2. OK. Hands-down. That is one of the best things I’ve ever seen. If it automatically came bundled with super Mario world and the first launch games I’d buy that instantly

  3. I live in America but I want this so bad… i’d even like a Super NES version…

    And yes, even with NX possibly coming this year if something like this came out in NA i’d be forced to buy it.
