Nintendo has announced when consumers in Japan will be able to get their hands on the retail version of Minecraft: Wii U Edition. The Wii U rendition of Mojang‘s popular sandbox game is set to make its Japanese debut on June 23 for 3,888 yen. It includes the Wii U-exclusive Super Mario Mash Up Pack, which is available now as a free update to players who own the digital version of the title. Minecraft: Wii U Edition is still on track to launch in U.S. stores on June 17.

I was just about to ask if the retail version includes the Super Mario DLC, and then I read that it does. Cool!
That’s why I’m getting it now. June 17th can’t get here soon enough.
It also opens the way for more Nintendo skin packs like Zelda, Metroid, and Splatoon; I won’t even mind having to pay an extra 2 bucks for those.
