Those hoping for a radically different experience on The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on the forthcoming Nintendo NX platform will come away disappointed as Nintendo has confirmed at E3 that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wind will be the same experience on both Wii U and the NX. I should think you’ll just have improved resolution and more foliage possibly in the Nintendo NX version of the long-awaited adventure.

I have not seen footage from gameplay using the Wii U Gamepad, is it something special? If it is just the map and inventory, then we can’t be sure that NX will have touch screen controller.
I saw in the video a box being drawn over the water that turned into a solid cube, I imagine that was done on the touch screen

Right, on second viewing I saw that. In the live feed I watched while in my car (not driving) it seems like it was drawn like the wizard does in Trine 2 with his boxes so, yes, you are right.

So, by the time a Zelda game comes along that’s an NX exclusive, and takes full advantage of of NX hardware, it will be when the NX lifespan is near over. If even then.

In other words, unless NX is a huge success, the Zelda game that comes out at the end of it’s life will need to be a dual release, too, or fail to sell because it’s on a dying console nobody wants. :/
I’m mixed emotions right now. Game looks great but I feel this could have been released back 2015. Why 2017? I mean it looks great but when I look at what PS4 is spitting out this doesn’t Wow me.

Yep. No way I’m buying at launch. This is the way it should be. They gave Wii U owners so little, so this is the least they can do.
Who knows at this point. We all thought gamepad would be used for map and inventory and it still might. Maybe NX initially will have a cheaper version with just a regular controller which is why they mentioned the Wii U pro controller support. I’m guessing the talbet/handheld NX controller is an optional buy/SKU at higher price. It would make sense seeing as it’s rumored to be a hybrid.
For people complaining about the graphics. I just want to remind you that the game has several months left to polish it. As we’ve seen countless times (SM3DW, TP HD, SFZ) the finished product is always substantially better than early reveals. They probably already finished it but can now spend the next 6 months polishing it up before shipping early 2017. I too saw some issues but I have faith that once it releases they’ll be ironed out.
Let’s also consider that March is just a soft date. They almost never hit their goals and we still don’t even know what the NX is. I seriously doubt the NX launches in March as it seems developers have only recently received dev kits and Nintendo wants to make sure the launch lineup is loaded. I honestly think with the Scorpio reveal and knowing PS4K is coming, that Nintendo might be altering their plans as far as power goes. Seriously, if it releases only as powerful and the Xbox One S, they’re done. This would be the last console they’ll make.
I have a feeling Nintendo got word of the PS4K and Xbox Scorpio which is the real reason they delayed. They know they have to be in the neighborhood if they expect any success. Well, let’s hope so anyway. Seems pretty obvious to all of us.

It could explain why they don’t want to show NX at E3 2016 because they decided on some last minute changes. I can give them a pass for skipping an NX reveal at E3 2016 if that’s the case.
