Fans of racing titles will be happy to know that indie studio Lucky Mountain Games is planning to bring Racing Apex to Wii U. The arcade-style game draws inspiration from some of the first 3D polygon arcade racing games from 1988 to 1992. It adds modern gameplay elements such as car combat and multiplayer action. There are 30 vehicles that players can choose from, in addition to a range of racers, modes, tracks and items.
Racing Apex Is Planned For Wii U

I was interested until i noticed the combat… i don’t care for racing games with combat, i prefer arcade style races like Daytona USA.
Uh, is this the year 1990?
You are about 25 years late with those GFX!
I’m pretty sure the graphical presentation is intentional.
This actually looks interesting. I may get this and review it.
When you’ve just watched the Money for Nothing music video and want to play a video game, this will be waiting for you on the eShop.
I watched it waiting for the combat to show purpose…there was none.
I believe the purpose is to cause damage to your opponents car. It looks like there are 3 levels of damage the cars take, with the final level resulting in your car blowing up. Seems pretty purposeful to me…
But it doesn’t show if there’s a limit, one time only, cost of repair, etc. So it’s a shallow gameplay element.
Maybe you’ll understand the game better if you look at the website: http://luckymountaingames.com/
This game looks amazing to me, i don’t normally get excited for kickstarter games but this just looks so fun!
These were some of my favorite types of arcade games when I was a kid. I’m looking forward to this.
GAY.
