It has been announced that Japan will be getting two 3DS Pokemon themes that will be paired with two new Pokémon-themed New Nintendo 3DS XLs. The New Nintendo 3DS XLs will arrive with the release of Pokémon Sun & Moon. We’ve included a picture of the themes down below, so feel free to check it out. No word was given on if these will be released outside in Japan.
Pokémon Sun & Pokémon Moon will release for the Nintendo 3DS worldwide on November 18th. It will release in Europe on November 23rd.
Kind of a no brainer
Especially when they released a bunch of Splatoon themes as well as a few monster hunter themes. The 3DS/2DS still has a few years of relevant life. Unless the NX is a portable and handheld hybrid. Maybe that will have home menu themes.

I hope we get those themes in the West when Gen 7 games release. I’ve been trying to play many of my 3DS and PS4 games with a theme of either the game I’m currently playing on the console/handheld or a theme that fits the theme of the game like a sword wielder for a Warriors/Musou game, so it’ll be nice to play Pokemon Moon with the Lunala theme and Pokemon Sun with the Solgaleo theme on my 3DS menu as I play the games.
