One of the most anticipated games this month for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One is Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. Australian publication Finder recently had the opportunity to chat to the game’s producer, Olivier Proulx. One of the first questions the site put to Mr. Proulx was whether they were planning on bringing Mankind Divided to Nintendo’s next generation platform the NX. Here’s what he had to say.
We’ve never thought about the NX. Right now there’s nothing new to announce there. We’ve just been looking at PC, Xbox One and PS4, and that’s been our focus.
Thanks, Paidenthusiast

I feel as though the NX can go two ways: The GCN route (a 1st party powerhouse and more successful than WiiU), or the Wii route for it being some kind of unforseen revolution with tons of 3rd party shovelware
Lets hope it fails if eather of your points are true so they might finally wake the **** up! (sorry for my language)
Well I’m pretty sure Nintendo are aiming for the Wii route. I mean whatelse is there to aspire to? Nintendo have made it very clear they don’t want to offer another PlayStation or Xbox.
I don’t blame them to be honest.
Deus Ex Human Revolution is a fantastic game, but it sold horribly on WiiU. Maybe if the NX is a huge sucess it could get a GOTY edition later on.
I bought it for the Wii U a couple of years ago.
I STILL haven’t played it, and I know it’s a damn good game.
it was an amazing game and an amazing wii u port but you are right that it sold poorly. another amazing 3rd party game that sold poorly, just like bayonetta 2.
Yeah. A fantastic game on the Wii U to be sure, but it did have the odds stacked against it (including just being a Wii U game alone). I wouldn’t try and put it on the Wii U unless it was coming out much closer to the other releases.
Hmmm… Game that nearly everyone had already played sold poorly.
After delaying the Wii U version to release Director’s Cut on every platform simultaneously.
Charging for full price on Wii U at the same time as offering the same game for 40$ cheaper on other platforms.
Wonder why?
I love the game, and I dropped the full price on Wii U again for the game. But I do not blame anyone for not doing the same.
3rd party publishers/developers made the mistake of assuming people who would buy Wii U only had Wii last generation, and had been living under rock for past 7 years, and are retarded as fuck.
So who’s to blame, to be honest?
In other words, “check back with us once the NX has sold well.”
to be fair to them the NX coming in march 2017 and by the time they finished the development of the game they did not know what was the NX in the first place.
Also would it be better to release a collection of the series like it could be found on PC and see how the sale are.
Personally I truly believe Nintendo wanted to release the NX in November 2017 and they were forced to release it earlier than planned.
Well, there goes that (again). It’s a shame, the Wii U version of Human Revolution is my favorite console version of the game.
In other words. We can’t tell you what we’re doing on NX because of strict NDAs. We can’t even talk about the NDAs, so we’ll just lie to you so you don’t ask again.
Maybe I’m too much of an optimist….
You sure are. Especially coming from Eidos. If Square is open about their work on the NX, why not them?
That’s what I was thinking. I hope they don’t skip out on the NX. Nintendo needs as much 3rd party support as possible.
Another one. We lost another one. Lol.
An old port isn’t a big deal.
Maybe not to you. It can’t be helped that the NX releases after this game, but it would still be great to see it released on it.
||One of the few non Nintendo weaponry I would get my legs on in an instant…||
The game will be 6+ months old by the time nx comes out. No one will care.
Pretty much, plus those who want the game will have most likely bought the game on a different console. Just like with Human Revolution.
If the Wii U hadn’t turned out the way it did, we could’ve seen the game on there instead of hoping it comes to the next console. Lol. -_-
If Eidos can’t do it… maybe Tantalus/Straight Right can deliver this port to the NX.
How can any legitimate game company not think about making games for such a highly talked about and anticipated console, such as the NX?
Sales.
