Today, Nintendo announced that Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon are officially the best pre-selling games in Nintendo history. Additionally, the Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon Special Demo Version is the most downloaded demo on the Nintendo 3DS eShop in Nintendo History!
With the launch of the first Pokémon video games 20 years ago, the Pokémon brand quickly became a global sensation and hasn’t left popular culture since. Pfft. I’ve had mine preordered for months now. Ever since this site revealed Amazon was selling a steelbook case of both games together.
Well, I’m just not the biggest Pokemon Fan (i know burn me at the stake) so I don’t think i will preorder it. Also if Pokemon Eclipse ends up being on the switch i might just wait and get that version.
Well if you’re not addicted to the idea of collecting every single Pokemon, you honestly shouldn’t have to worry about preordering it. Sometimes a bonus for getting the game the first month or so of release nets you a free Pokemon you can download off of Mystery Gift. Like what they did with Black/White with Victini or Black 2/White 2 with Genesect. Got Victini but skipped over the sequels so I have to wait til December of this year to finally get Genesect. If they intend to do something similar this gen, I don’t want to miss that chance. Question is, if they are doing something similar, I wonder if Megearna is going to be this gen’s Victini.

I suspected a lot of people would be buying it after GO got them excited, but I never thought it’d break preordering records.

Possibly from the Pokemon GO hype? With all of the trailers, SM looks like it’s going to be one of my all time favorite gens.
Pokemon Moon or Pokemon Sun still cant decide which one is more fun. I wish I could get the two, but with little earnings I make its just a few. Oh well at least I wont catch the flu but I will catch Pikachu. OR Grunty will change from green into blue.

I literally lost my new 3dsxl a couple of weeks ago with all my ambassador games on it which really sucks and unfortunately I’m going to have to buy another just to play Pokémon lol have had the Amazon steel book dual pack Pre-ordered for months already and I’m not about to cancel it lol
Oh god! If I lost mine, I’d go insane! I got one of every single 719, just need Meloetta & Genesect to have the max 721 for Omega Ruby, Pokemon on my Omega Ruby game card which is inside my 3DS. Not to mention the wealth of digital games on it. I’d probably be crushed & even cancel my preorder of the Sun/Moon steelbook. :/ It took me over a accumulated 5-7 years to have one of each Pokemon so I’d probably lose all will to play Pokemon again. Least not for many, many years.
You’d should put them in the Pokemon Bank just in case…
I switch between having them on my game card & having them in PokeBank. For right now, I got them on the game card. But there is no guarantee they are safe there, either, since we need to use our NNID to even use PokeBank and that’s locked to the fucking handheld. Ugh! Nintendo & their 5-10 years behind everyone else crap!

The funny thing is, if I actually kept up with my actual game time to get this collection built up, I’d say I probably spent 2-3 years on it at max. Maybe less.

That’s horrible. Sorry to hear! Nintendo will want you to file a police report most likely, you might want to come up with a better excuse than “I lost it” if you want your eshop games replaced or refunded.

This wouldn’t be an issue if NintenD’OH! *facepalm* had thought of a universal account system similar to Sony’s for the PlayStation brand. Then the only thing he’d have to replace is the game card he left in the 3DS. :/
Yea mines had a new copy of dragon quest 7 in it and at least 30 eshop games So whoever found it is one lucky person lol
I had a lot of games on mine too, including sm4sh. I’m sure if you called Nintendo and provided them your network Id you could re-download them

The only thin I didn’t like of the demo is that you have to wait days for diferent evens to ocur. I alredy past the first 2 events. I gues I’ll have to be patient. But I am glad that in 3 weeks lots of us will obtain the new Pokemon! I will obtain Moon!
