Japan: Nintendo 3DS Sells 229K And Wii U Sells 8K

The Christmas season was bound to be a success for hardware manufactures and this year proved to be no exception. The Nintendo 3DS saw a healthy boost in sales selling an impressive 229.575 units. Even Wii U sales were up during the week of December 19th – December 25th. Here’s the best-selling software during the ultra busy Christmas week , thanks to Famitsu.

  1. Dang last year Wii U was getting as much as 90k a week because of that Smash and Splatoon Bundle (or was it Smash and Mario Kart) I guess people are just waiting for the Switch. And with most of the Wii U’s amazing exclusives getting enhanced versions on the Switch I don’t blame them. Plus the Switch just looks awesome by itself. Still, I’m glad to have bought my Wii U 3 years ago, its been a great time. RIP Wii U.
