Nintendo have uploaded an updated infographic showcasing a collection of titles that are coming to the Switch in 2017. This differs from a previously uploaded image depicting these 2 games being in the Summer launch period and you can see the difference below:
I think it’s a good idea to expect a few shifts in some of the games’ launch expectations going forward as developers finalise their titles for release. It’s also worth noting that some of the logo’s have also been updated, rather than showing generic text.
I’m not interested in those launch titles.

I got turned off when I heard that Sonic’s saviour, Sonia Mania, was coming to the Switch. Ouch.
Seeing this in context, I guess it’s an okay lineup. As long as these don’t all get delayed or cancelled, that is.
Seems to be missing some key things, though. Where is Sonic 2017 (confirmed for Switch), for instance? What about the rest of the “80+” 3rd party games? Are most of those not releasing until next year or beyond? Or do they just not have announced release dates?
Well for sure the next cod will be on the switch but it probably wont be announced til later. I Expect more games to get announced closer to their release date.
Remember there’s still time. I’d expect an influx of smaller indie games to crop their heads over the coming weeks – personally I think the line up is looking healthy so far.

I can’t look at it, it’s so pathetic! There’s no game that makes me buy the system! No Luigi’s Mansion, no Metroid, no F-Zero, no Eternal Darkness, no Wave Race, no Monster Hunter, no BG&E2, no 3rd party support (no new AAA game comes to Switch). I want to buy the Switch so bad but there’s no game that interests me. Nintendo united the handheld and home console divisions, yet they couldn’t produce even a single game for launch day. This is the sign of a dying company!

That is an awful launch lineup.
There are some nice games for the first year of the Switch release but it still looks a bit lackluster overall. Nintendo was supposed to fix this issue with this new system so I really hope more titles get announced than the infographic shows. I do love me some Zelda, Mario and MK8 but not everyone is gong to go out and grab a Switch for just these games. There needs to be bigger 3rd party titles and I’m sorry but Skyrim is an old game now even if it is great and I would still play it today since I haven’t completely beaten it yet, I still don’t think it’s a big enough title. Let’s hope the next few weeks allows us to learn about more titles being released on the Switch like hopefully Kingdom Hearts 3.
Good news. I’m looking forward to Rime, but unless it gets a physical release on consoles, I’ll most likely get it on Pc.
This is a launch that non-Zelda fans like myself just hate. I don’t think FAST rmx is going to be an easy game coming off of Neo, and MK8D is a month and a half away. The only game that really excites me before Splatwo is Disgaea.
If I didn’t have a PS4 with a backlog, I’d be giving Nintendo so much hell right now for such a small launch line-up even if Zelda was gonna possibly keep me busy til April in time for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Still, sucks for those that don’t have a PS4 with a ton of games still on the back burner.
Well least that’s one game I’ll be using the portability for: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. I need to keep a look out for a car charger/adapter that I can use to power up the Switch for when it’s battery is about to die while in ze car.
