Forgiving the slightly eccentric name, Arms for Nintendo Switch pits players against each other inside an arena whilst you, the player, uses the Joy-Cons to punch your way to victory. It may sound an awful lot like Wii Boxing but the brand new IP is actually really fun and requires a considerable amount of skill; as you can see in the videos below that were recently uploaded by Nintendo Of Japan:
And here:
Arms will be released within the launch window for Nintendo’s new console which promises online play and it’s also reported that it makes great use of the Joy-Con’s HD Rumble feature.
Will you be picking this up when it becomes available? I think a game that resembles Punch-Out / Overwatch is certainly a winner in my eyes.

Does anyone know what the prices the games for Switch will be?
Preferably for CDN.
60
60 for US. Canada is usually a bit more. So whatever games were for Wii u, they will be the same for switch.
I like the idea but this shouldn’t be a full priced game
Under that premise Overwatch shouldn’t be full priced neither.
???????
It’s not though. Standard price is $39.99 and it goes on sale for as low as $19.99 sometimes.
Isn’t Overwatch 40$? Since launch?
For PC, yes. Console $60
Oh, ok.
Inb4 Arms Guy for Smash
Actually that would be pretty cool no ?
This is actually one of the Switch games I’m most exited for currently.
The first time I saw this I wasn’t sure but after seeing it in action I can’t wait . I’d be more likely to dash in and punch rather than stay at that far distance always. I like how different gloves have different abilities and hopefully there’s more gloves and characters than we’ve seen so far.
I wasn’t initially interested in this game at first. But since learning that you don’t have to use motion controls, I’m leaning towards purchasing it.
I like the option for both. I always prefer standard pro controls, but I have to admit these motion controls actually look pretty fun, ESPECIALLY if down the line we get a VR headset compatible with this game. In the mean time I’m looking forward to mastering this game with the Pro controller.
Are they holding that woman in the mask captive?
