You may remember that last autumn we heard that Wii U production was ending shortly in Japan. Well, it turns out that it is now officially finished as the company concentrates its efforts on its next video gaming platform, the Nintendo Switch. The announcement was made by Nintendo on the official Nintendo Japan website under the Wii U hardware section. The site states that production has ended for the legacy platform but notes that this is domestically for Japan.

RIP WiiU. I loved to hate you, and in the end, you sacrificed your biggest exclusive to save Nintendo’s next console. I will honor your memory and sacrifice by playing ZeldaU on the system it was designed for.

Well the Wii U had a good run for the company. I hope Nintendo make the switch to become more successful.

For good. Farewell Wii U… you will not be remembered (well). ^^
Now focus on the big hit with the Switch, this time is for real. :thumbs up:
Home run! ^^
as strange as it can be, I noticed there are 25 games playing on this system. I know it a matter of taste but not bad for a fail systems which will be considered as a gem in the next 10 years.
Well that took longer than expected.
