  2. Not too surprising, considering everything that was released in 2016. Other companies, Nintendo especially, should take note of this. TPC showed exactly how you should handle a series anniversary.

Oi! Nintendo! Take note of The Pokemon Company! They make way better stock than you!

Even if TPC are complete assholes with everything else. Like freaking out over a guy making his money back for throwing that Pokemon themed party because he dared to charge 2 bucks a piece. That poor guy is suffering more than TPC did for him throwing that party, that’s for certain.

      1. He was illegally profiteering off of someone else’s property. Preventing it is a basic necessity of being a content creator. If you don’t do it consistently, it creates problems down the road when you really do need to enforce it. They aren’t assholes, you just have no idea what you’re talking about.

Nintendo’s sold 2.4 million switches. While internationally they have different prices, let’s just take $300 as our baseline for simplicity. That’s 720 million in retail sales…..on JUST the switch in 45 days. Since Zelda has a 100% attach rate, that total comes to 864 million in 45 days. This doesn’t count 3ds numbers, any other software, or merchandising. From super mario run, to amiibos, to t-shirts and wall decorations, Nintendo’s retail availability is quite deep. Why exactly should they be taking such great note of TPC? Nintendo’s doing better.

It was 2 lousy bucks a person. And the money went to paying solely for the stuff he used for said party. Now if he was making his money back & some profit in the process, then TPC would have had a case. Instead, they came close to putting the poor guy out of business for simply getting his money back with no profit made at all. If you spend 100 bucks on a party & get that 100 back & nothing else, that’s not profit but merely getting your money back. Big difference. Any businessman would be able to tell you this. So yeah. Assholes. Besides, just because you are doing what’s within your rights doesn’t make you any less of an ass. So I actually do have a general idea of what I’m talking about. Just because you disagree doesn’t change that.

And they should be taking note of how well TPC does stock with their toys, figurines, etc. Nintendo’s stock for amiibo is always shit when they release new ones. Whether Nintendo purposely does it, though, is a subject for another time.
