PS4 & Vita RPG Title ‘Touhou Genso Wanderer’ Announced For Nintendo Switch

Japanese rogue-like RPG ‘Touhou Genso Wanderer’ will be coming to Nintendo Switch. The title was released on PS4 and Vita in the West last month and the developer behind the game, Aqua Style, announced via Twitter that Switch owners can expect it too; although a release in the very near future is highly unlikely.

For those not familiar with Touhou Genso Wanderer, here’s an official description below:

In this roguelike RPG, you will take control of Reimu, the Hakurei Shrine Maiden, to investigate the latest incident to take place in the world of Gensokyo. Along the way, you’ll encounter a variety of characters from the Touhou Project universe, discover mountains of loot—each piece of which is valuable thanks to the game’s item fusion system—and test your mettle with your favorite Touhou girl in tow as your adventuring partner in this approachable take on the roguelike genre.

      1. Even Vroom in the Sky? ^^
I think Nintendo should set a lower level because there is no cash back and some people can get upset after buying a low quality game. Nintendo was famous for that (getting rid of low quality games).
If the Nintendo Switch is synonymous of ‘low quality games’ isn’t good. And there are already some people turning off because of indie (that gets all the show). Eventually there are more people that knows about Shovel Knight than Arms. I’m still interested in Shovel Knight (still not bought though) but can’t be the star.
Back on topic, I hope there will be very few low quality games.

      2. I hope it. Eventually Vroom was a terrible mistake. ^^
Probably it’s just something about corruption. High corruption your game is in, low corruption you should be a known publisher to give a birth.
        Or luck? ^^

    1. I’d expect an updated version of Persona 5 on Switch somewhere down the line. Why you ask? Simple. Upgraded versions of those games always come later to a handheld and Switch will be the only option this time around :)

      1. I would like to hope that you’re right. Handheld is the perfect environment for this game, especially for those who don’t have jobs and things that get in the way of gaming time. However I’ve never seen a mainline persona title on a non-Sony platform so I’m cynical that it’ll ever happen.

      2. Yeahhhh you’re right there. But I’ve always sort of seen that as a bit of a spinoff – Persona x Etrian Odyssey. I see your point though, that’s a glimmer of hope. Other Persona spinoffs like the dancing and fighting offshoots were on XBox as well as PlayStation.

  1. FIRST TOUHOU ON NINTENDO CONSOLE?!
AWESOME and this is one of the very first western touhou
games to come out of JPN!

It’s interesting to see that Aqua Style is releasing this game
on the switch, originally a doujin PC game turned console game! ^_^

Can’t wait to see it eventually come out in the future!

  2. King Kalas X3 {Greatness Awaits. This use to be something that awaited those for all consoles. It's sad it's mostly just a PS4 slogan these days. Maybe Nintendo will get back to that greatness with the Switch. Only time will tell.} says:

I like the design of many of the Touhou characters but their games, least the 2 new ones coming out, don’t look like my kind of thing. Maybe 10 years ago, sure, but not anymore. (I’ve been spoiled by 3D games…)
