An interesting announcement that was made by Nintendo in today’s ARMS Direct talked about the game’s fate post-release. According to Nintendo, ARMS will get more content after it releases, courtesy of free updates that will have things such as new fighters and stages. The announcement was tweeted by Nintendo too, so we’ve included their tweet down below.

take notes ubisoft.
Really looks like a cool game… there was lots of additional info and the gameplay is a lot deeper than it looked like in the beginning. I think this fits in with the “new” Nintendo IP line up with Splatoon very well… similar, self contained vibe going on created a new world around a sport. Gonna be fun
Following in the footsteps of Splatoon and Overwatch. That is how you do it.
With everything else shown off today, I’m glad I have this preordered!
With free updates, they really mean: “Content shipped on the gaming cartridgd and unlocked little by little with updates”.
