EDGE Magazine Awards RiME A 9

The latest edition of respected video game magazine EDGE contains the first review of the intriguing RiME. The magazine awarded the 3D adventure a solid 9 which is extremely encouraging. Many people weren’t too sure how good the game was going to be after it was dropped as a PlayStation exclusive by Sony, but judging from the review score it would appear as though it is definitely something for Nintendo Switch owners to look forward to.

  • Rime – 9
  • Prey – 8
  • Get Even – 6
  • The Surge – 6
  • What Remains of Edith Finch – 9
  • Strafe – 8
  • Statik – 9
  • Puyo Puyo Tetris – 8
  • Guardians of the Galaxy – Tangled Up in Blue – 5

    1. The first episode from the telltale series got a 5, not the entire game.

Like most of the first episodes of their games it’s slow until the very end. A 5 is very reasonable.

  1. For now Rime isn’t a game that I’m interested. For what I want to see is the Nintendo SpotLight which we can expect some new games incoming. And who knows what games we can see for the Switch.

  2. The art style intruiges me. I usually do not want to play puzzle games because there is no reason for me to progress, but the beauty and mystery of each location is used to a similar effect as the original Halo. I want to push forward, and I want to see what’s ahead, whatever the challenge may be.

  3. Wow, did not expect a score like that. Been looking forward to this game for a while so I’m glad to hear it’s been worth the wait.

  4. The artstyle and climbing mechanics remind me of Breath of the Wild. I’m looking forward to it.
