Atsushi Inaba, who isย Platinum Games Head Producer, has revealed to Famitsu that the esteemed company are developing a new game for the Nintendo Switch. Inaba wouldn’t give much away, but simply said that the project that’s currently in development for Nintendo’s latest platform is “interesting”. Here’s what he had to say:
Howโs the compatibility with Platinum Games?
โI think itโs good. Weโve also already declared weโre going to participate. During the announcement event of Nintendo Switch, thereโs the Platinum Games logo showing up secretly.โ
Is something happening?
“Weโre creating it, you know. I think itโs going to be interesting.โ
Excellent news. Bayonetta is all but assured.
Excellent news! Bayonetta 3 all but confirmed. ๐
||Or F-Zero with their essence in it…||
Their “essence”, huh, Your Grace? :p Personally, I think the Shin’en tribe has that market cornered.
||Yes but more options is statistically better, especially if these variables already have proven themselves…||
I have no doubt whatsoever of Platinum’s talent. But like in the past when High Command delegated the vanquished SEGA to create F-Zero because it was their specialty to make racers, I think they should tap a tribe with a specialty in racers again.
I really hate these vague announcements developers do. Either tell us something or just be quiet.
It’s not really an announcement as such when they’re just answering an interview question.
Hmm. In the context that they were asked a question, I suppose you’re right. Didn’t really take that into account. Good call.
I don’t agree with that bro. I like that some developers keeps us in suspense like this to keep us on our toes…..especially if the game is worth it. I really hope they’re working on something big or like you said…..they should keep quiet if they aren’t
It is Platinum, which is known for great games. So I can concede that they are probably going to have something good coming. I was kind of just thinking along the lines of lesser developers who do this and then when they finally reveal, it’s completely lame. Or in the sense that (and this applies to all developers)
they say something like this but sometimes you don’t hear anything else for like months or even a year or two after the vague announcement. Not saying that’s the case here at all. Just a general thing I don’t like. Either way, nothing I’m going to cry over.
Well that’s a good sign..
Maybe they might make something similar to Scalebound but with a different title
e3 cant come quick enough…

please be bayo 3. Feel like this is one of the most underrated franchises in gaming
Please let it be Bayonetta 3 or Vanquish 2 or Okami 2 or a sequel to Wonderful 101 or a new IP in the vein of Nier Automata. Platinum please put a smile on my face…..I’m in high anticipation of whatever you guys are working on
Doubt that itll be Okami related as that IP belongs to Capcom, but wishful thinkimg never hurt anyone. To be honest though, something tells me that ‘Lost Order’ will be getting a switch release.
Beating W101 had me crying at the end, Grunty really felt that warm at the”Fin.” W102 would be a win. But I know it won’t be at E3 any better than I know I’ll never lose weight, I’ll never get thin.
Metre, Your Wartiness. You must have metre. We’ll get you back into form! You’ll see!

STARFOX ONE CONFIRMED
I wish… Well, I mean not in the same way Zero was, at least… I want them to go back to 64/Assault style gameplay if they do another Star Fox game
