Update: amiibo listings now state releasing 12th November, which is a Thursday.
Nintendo UK has listed Sword Kirby and Dragoon and Noir Dedede and Hydra amiibo for release on 12th November. You may be wondering why this important? Well, amiibo generally release alongside a Nintendo published title and Nintendo has no titles listed for November. Speculation online suggests that the highly-anticipated The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake could launch on that very date. As always we will have to see what happens with this.

If this is true, then that would put it a week earlier than GTA 6, but they could be doing this to get in The Game Awards before the deadline.
Genuine question: are Amiibo more likely to release at the same time as a Nintendo first party game even if the game has nothing to do with the specific Amiibo coming out? If so, I wonder why….
Any Zelda game but TP
yes, every amiibo has released alongside a first party game at least within the past few years even if they have no correlation. the only exception to this is the mario galaxy amiibo which were alongside the movie instead.
the resident evil amiibo released alongside xenoblade 2 switch 2 edition, for example, and the meta knight amiibo was released alongside pokopia.
The store listings have been updated to 12/11/2026, so this article is wrong.
In other news, GTA 6 announced… yet another delay until 2027 due to something out of their control
Yeah Nintendo can go to hell
Interesting philosophy there. I wonder why you would think such a way based solely on amiibo releasing on a date. Care to elaborate more on your mindset?
Why are you did mad over a speculated release date?
No, I agree. What does Kirby Air Riders amiibo have anything to do with The Legend of Zelda?
I think I misread. I thought Mr.Frostie was replying to CosmicTornado and I failed to see CosmicTornado was replying to some angry comment, which was the one Frostie was replying too.
I still stand by what I said though. I have no idea why there’s a correlation between amiibo for a separate game releasing and a new game from a different series.
Yeah, I meant to reply to Deek. I just thought it was silly he was so pissed off over a speculated release date. But I do agree with you, it would be weird to have some Kirby amiibo launch alongside the ocarina remake.
It’s just the way Nintendo treats these game/amiibo releases. My guess is they haven’t announced all of the planned amiibos because some of them are Zelda related and they don’t want to give away the release date quite yet. I’m sticking with a November release as rumored. Historically speaking, if you look back at many big amiibo/game releases, they fall into the same pattern. Most recent in my mind is the Metroid Prime 4 amiibo/game release announcement when that happened.
You first, then never come back.
