Pokemon developers Game Freak have been working on a super-colourful new iOS and Android game titled Rainy Day, Sunny Girl which is set to feature magical girls who draw power from real-world weather data across Japan. The idea for the game started from a simple laundry forecast idea according to Pokemon director Shigeru Ohmori who leads the project. More details on Rainy Day, Sunny Girl will feature during the Tokyo Game Show 2026. Check out the debut trailer down below.

Pokemon magical girls(?) magic power battler was not on my bingo board lmao but this looks shockingly really high quality and pretty good. Funnily enough it looks like something that is copying Pokémon, despite being made by the pokemon devs LOL. I hope it also comes to Switch too. It feels weird this the 2nd new IP they’ve done not on Nintendo consoles. I miss the days of Harmoknight and Little Town Hero lol…
