Nintendo has updated the US eShop listing for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, adding an “E10+ (Everyone 10 and older)” age rating certification to the remake. The original 1998 Ocarina of Time on Nintendo 64 was only rated “E (for Everyone),” however, that was prior to the existence of the E10+ rating, which was not introduced until 2005 as a softer medium before “T (for Teen).” The E10+ rating was given to the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive for the reasons of “Animated Blood and Fantasy Violence.” While PEGI has not yet given the game their own age classification for Europe, a provisional “PEGI 12” rating is currently listed on the UK eShop. We should be receiving more information very soon, as age ratings only happen when development is nearing completion, and a release has been confirmed for sometime in 2026.
Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake rated by the ESRB

Sweet, another generation gets to grow up with dead hand. That thing freaked me out back then.
ESRB rating means it’s (relatively) close to release…. lock in
I can’t believe in the next 2-4 months I’m gonna be playing Ocarina of Time Remake. This feels surreal, so I can only imagine how it’ll feel to get my game delivered and open it up, start it for the first time… I’m so excited omg
