UK video game journalist Christopher Dring has revealed that the Nintendo Switch 2 has now overtaken lifetime sales of the GameCube in the largest gaming market in Europe, the United Kingdom. Dring says next up for the Nintendo Switch 2 to beat is the Nintendo 64 console, which launched here back in 1997.

    1. GameCube is better because there is a Wario game on it. If there was a new Wario game on switch 2, then it would be better then the GameCube.
I only rank Nintendo consoles by the amount of Wario on it. Switch 2 gets extra points for biker Wario.

      1. The Nintendo GameCube only has one 3D Mario game and Shigeru Miyamoto wasn’t happy on how the game is by taking away the element that appear in previous Mario games. Wario World on GameCube was also a good fit for the platform and has amount to any 3D games base on gameplay and mechanics and graphics.

I hope they remake the game again for the Switch 2 since Nintendo loves to remake the same games 3 to 4 times already that new people hasn’t played the original games yet.

  1. I bought a game cube, but I haven’t yet bought a switch 2. Having tried out MKW, I can say it’s not as fun as when I first played Double dash on my game cube

  2. Overtaking the GameCube’s lifetime UK numbers this fast is wild — the install base curve on Switch 2 looks nothing like the Wii U’s. Curious whether the holiday quarter keeps that slope or it flattens once the launch-window buyers are through.
