We were expecting the Minecraft Better Together update this summer, I believe, but Mojang and Microsoft have informed Minecraft fans that it will now be coming this fall. There’s no real explanation for the delay other than they are busy squashing the various bugs they’ve encountered so that it’s ready for prime time. As soon as it’s available we shall let you know!

As a person who primarily plays Minecraft on PS4, I’m still really disappointed Sony doesn’t want Minecraft to be cross play with XBONE and Switch….Oh well, time to get MInecraft a third time, this time on the Switch.

That was the patch that allows cross-platform play between XBOne and Switch, right? Isn’t that HD realism texture pack also part of it? I might have to upgrade to Switch version once that hits.

Yes. All current gen consoles will be getting the update with the exception of the PS4.
Pretty sure it’s not a patch its a standalone version with the old one being phased out when the new one is just as feature packed as console
