Publisher MixedBag have announced that their ‘Metroidvania’ game, forma.8, will be released on the Nintendo Switch on August 24. Back in February, MixedBag spoke in an interview about how they were wanting to bring some of their games over to Nintendo’s latest console. With forma.8 coming next week, they have also announced that two more games are heading to Switch in the future; Wheels of Aurelia from Santa Ragione and ATOMINE from Broken Arms Games.
Coming from a Press Release, check out some details for the upcoming titles:-
Wheels of Aurelia
Platform: Nintendo Switch
Developer: Santa Ragione
Launch date: October 2017
We’re proud to port and publish Santa Ragione’s unconventional driving-narrative game Wheels of Aurelia on Nintendo Switch. The game will be playable at our booth at GamesCom and will launch in October 2017.
A narrative road trip game set in the roaring Italian 70s, it tells the story of Lella, a restless woman driving on the roads of the western coast of Italy, the famous “Via Aurelia”.
This is an interactive fiction game in the shape of an isometric racer and with a focus on replayability: every playthrough lasts about fifteen minutes and there are sixteen different endings to discover.
Platform: Nintendo Switch, other console platforms
Developer: Broken Arms Games (http://www.brokenarmsgames.com)
Launch date: TBA 2017
MixedBag is working with Broken Arms Games to bring their unique roguelike to Nintendo Switch and other console platforms this Autumn! The game will launch by the end of the year on Nintendo Switch and other unannounced platforms.
ATOMINE is a twin stick procedural shooter rogue-lite set in a virtual world with minimalist design, where the player recounts on the screen the real events of STUXNET, the first weapon ever created in the form of computer virus.
In every run the player has to clear the level area from all the enemies in order to unlock the portal to the next level. During the run every killed enemy will leave on the ground XPs, energy and/or weapon modules.
