3DS Miiverse Nintendo Wii U

Nintendo TVii, Wii U Chat & Miiverse Will Be Ending On November 8th

Gradually, services from the Wii U have been coming to an end. Moments ago, Nintendo announced that Nintendo TVii, Wii U Chat and Miiverse will be discontinued on November 8th at 15:00 JST. The official Miiverse site, along with the versions on the Wii U and 3DS. You will still be able to upload your courses to Super Mario Maker, with details being announced later on. Everything associated with Miiverse, including features that were integrated in Wii U and 3DS games, will be shutting down. After November 8th, Wii U users will receive error code “115-5004” and 3DS users will receive error code “015-5004”. Users will get the “102-2882” error code if they try to access the TVii or Wii U Chat. As for Nintendo TVii, its demise will not include the North American version. This is because TVii was discontinued in North America two years ago.

    1. if you have the money you can use a capture card but if you are a peasant like us you can use your phone to take pictures which you could have also done either a long time ago. btw i am not attacking and i actually rarely use miiverse and take screenshots using my phone but when i do i have fun doing it even if others don’t think so.

      1. I don’t think Imgur works anymore, at least it hasn’t for me, recently, but still, heed RPG Hacker’s words.

    2. If you can find a website with the option to upload pictures (that the Wii U can load without saying that it’s too big) you can upload through the browser (it gives you the option to pick the top or bottom screen to upload). The easiest is the simply version of gmail, but I’m sure that there are more sites. I don’t think Imgur works anymore, but it used to. Still, there are ways. You just have to find them.

      1. And how would you know that? I’ve been lurking on this site for years before joining. The ignorance on Miiverse is way more frequent whereas this place has mellowed down a lot.

    1. Not for everyone.
This will be the end of the era in which I will be a full Nintendo fan, since I cannot afford a Switch atm, and unless Nintendo revs up the stocks come November 8th I don’t see myself getting one.

I really do want one, but… if I can’t, then I guess I won’t be able to share screenshots from Breath of the Wild. (Yes I have the Wii U version, and yes I have spent more than 1,100 hours on the game.)

  1. This is a wonderful day. There will be less toxic kids now. Nintendo needs to put the kids in a site and the adults on a different site to avoid incidents like the one that happened in swap note which caused that Nintendo disabled spotpass (an internet feature).

  2. Or they could release an update that removes Miiverse instead of some icon staring me right in the face that I can’t bloody use. I knew Nintendo would be cheap & shut down Miiverse instead of creating a better version but I didn’t think they’d go a step further in being cheap & not bother to remove the damn thing from the 3DS entirely. At least an update so I can move the Miiverse icon to my folder for useless apps that I got put in an area of my menu I can’t see.

    1. If they would make something better it would most likely just be for the Switch. No point putting on 3DS when it’s obvious that Nintendo’s major developers have mostly moved on already.

      1. They should at least remove the Miiverse icon from the 3DS systems. I intend to keep it for a long time since I got a bunch of digital games on it & I’d like to not have something I can’t even use staring me in the face when I use the device for gaming.

      2. King Kalas X3 {I only buy exclusives that interest me on Switch. For everything else that interests me, there is PS4.} says:

It is for me. If I can’t use it, it’s taking up wasted space & taking up precious data that could be going to other stuff that I CAN use. Nintendo should not be lazy & cheap & remove the damn icons.

  3. I met some cool people on Miiverse over the years. It was ok. I used it every day for quite some time. Just to talk to friends. Was nice…

Miiverse is a joke compared to other services though lol. Nintendo got so restrictive.

    1. Miiverse was going to be such a great thing… til those fucking restrictive “updates” came along that limited posts AND comments to only 30 a day, all posts were limited to only 100 comments which was stupid for discussions, only 400 characters per post/comment which didn’t help with the 30 posts AND comments a day bullshit, & don’t get me started on the admins deleting anything even when they were falsely reported as being sexually explicit!

  5. I want to say something hateful about Miiverse, now that it’s ending, thank goodness, but I’d just get yelled at by those who loved it. What the heck, I’LL DO SO ANYWAYS!

GOOD BYE YOU ROTTON EXCUSE FOR A MEDIA APP! I tried helping people once, tried defending them by trolling the troll who trolled them. AND THOSE STUPID ADMINS HAD THE AUDACITY TO BAN ME FOR HELPING SOMEONE, JUST CAUSE THE TROLLING JERK REPORTED ME! SO I’M GLAD IT DIES IN NOVEMBER, TAKES EVERYTHING WITH IT! GOOD RIDDANCE MIIVERSE, IT WASN’T FUN!
