Good
The hell? I get ‘one per customer’, that’s solid, but the credit/debit only plus government issue ID? It’s a game system, not a handgun. That seems a little overboard.
It’s probably to make sure the little bastard doesn’t try to get another one with a different person on the register. So this makes sense to me.
Remember, these fuckers are sneaky little bastards when rules do pop up to hinder them & resort to other bullshit to cheat people.
It’s a crazy world we live in, eh? I’m a sucker for tragic retail stories. I can’t wait to hear about some little kid getting denied a sale tomorrow because he’s only 10 and wanted to buy it with his allowance money. Like hearing about Black Friday shopping nightmares, lol. Fingers crossed that everyone that wants one of these can actually get one.
Good. This should cut down on some scalpers.
This is what every retailer should do for rare Nintendo items. I worked at Best Buy the morning the NES classic launched. A family came in: A grandmother, a mother, and four children. You guessed it, they walked out with 6 of our 23 consoles. I was livid, but was forced to smile as they passed me by. I wouldn’t be able to get one for another 3 1/2 months, and I worked there.
