Golden Joysticks: Here’s Aonuma’s Acceptance Speech For Zelda: Breath Of The Wild

As we reported earlier The Golden Joystick Awards 2017 took place and Nintendo managed to get the Ultimate Game of the Year award for the magnificent The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. If you missed the action you can check out all the winners of the awards here. But for now, here’s series producer Eiji Aonuma acceptance speech.

  1. Sure, we all know it too, but it’s kind of funny to hear it from developers themselves, that the GOTY race this year is between Zelda and Mario. Aonuma knew Odyssey was the one game that would be the most “dangerous”.

    1. ||Indeed they did, Supreme Lord Kimishima can see the future, is wise and most of all, ruthless just like The First Order must be…||

  2. I just wish that Nintendo Europe would translate Japanese into talking like they do in the Americas. I hate reading text after text.

  3. Thank you aonuma for making me take days of work, not spending enough time with family and staying up late every night playing this game.

Can’t wait to see what you’ll do next

  4. Congrats. Now don’t let this success go to your heads & make you forget some of the issues some of us had with BotW.
