Nintendo president Tatsumi Kimishima has said in a recent interview with The Nikkei that upcoming Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa has spent the last two years helping map out Nintendo’s plan for the future. He has also revealed that Mr. Furukawa was chosen as he knows how to get the most out of Nintendo’s development teams.
“Kimishima says Furukawa was chosen as new president because he knows how to get the most out of development teams, and he apparently spent the last 2 years to map out Nintendo’s future.”
We know Reggie said Nintendo wants to stay in business for a long time.
Our new president knows how to go ahead

Hopefully he doesn’t ruin Nintendo’s culture or change it’s stragetic position.
I wonder what’s it like working with him, kinda scary this new guy is making moves already and asking for mega blockbusters from a saturated market (mobile gaming).
2 years!? Makes me wonder if Iwata may have been looking at this guy to take over from him before he passed away.
