Japan: BitSummit 2018 Award Nominees Announced

You probably saw that the BitSummit 2018 event happened this weekend in Japan and numerous independent developers were in attendance showcasing their latest projects. As with most shows this has an award ceremony taking a look at some of the best games shown off during the event. Here’s the nominees for this year’s BitSummit 2018 event:

  1. Simulacra!? I watched Markiplier play this horror game the other day. It’s technically a visual novel but everything happens on a phone so you can watch live action videos, “live” chat with people, etc. A ton of reading is involved, though. The best thing is the game will play random sounds at random times & they were pretty fucking real to the point Mark actually thought someone was knocking at his door (knocking is one of the random sounds) and I thought the same. It was very interesting and I intend to get the game myself at some point.
