Video: Minecraft Nintendo Switch And Xbox One Cross-Play Trailer

Nintendo of America has uploaded a new video for Minecraft and the Better Together update. The trailer showcases the cross-play nature of the game which console-wise is supported by both Microsoft and Nintendo. Sony doesn’t seem to have changed its stance on cross-play, sadly. The new update for Minecraft is available today.

The new version of Minecraft is out on Nintendo Switch! Play with friends on Xbox One, Windows 10 or Mobile. Explore community creations with the in-game store. Includes the Super Mario Mash-Up Pack!

  1. Sony won’t care on PS4. But for PS5 the story will be different if they still with that arrogance. Fine they have 80+ million. But THAT MOVE of kidnapping Fornite accounts from Epic games even if legal they probably didn’t expected they will go that far. That was a d*ck move. And now a lot third parties know that SONY is willing to kidnapp their accounts. I hope third parties change some lines in their contract for the next console. Sony moves for the next console will decide if will start great or will fall. Microsoft are moving too fast to make that happen. Remember SONY: No one can be on the TOP all time, they allways fall and that arrogance will be your Doom

  2. Nice to see two companies coming together to allow gamers to choose their platform! I hope Nintendo’s relationship with Microsoft leads to something more, like a collaboration.

    1. That’s coming from a troll who happens to be the latest victim of the console wars bullshit he had created… and lost miserably. You still don’t fucking get it.

  4. Sony’s stance on cross-play better change before they release the PS5 if their reason for not doing it on PS4 is because of the 80+ million users.

Are they sure it’s 80+ million users, though? 80+ million consoles sold doesn’t necessarily equate to users. That was the problem with Nintendo being proud of over 100+ million Wii consoles sold: they didn’t have any thing proving it was 100+ million users. I myself replaced my Wii twice, thus buying it 3 times. No telling how many did the same as me or bought & replaced a family member’s Wii.

  5. What if in the future, Microsoft and Nintendo collaborated together in their entirety. Microsoft could provide the console, their hardcore exclusives, and 3rd party support, and Nintendo could provide their priceless exclusive IPs.

It would annihilate the competition and take the gaming world by storm.
