Dengeki Online has provided some sales data on Mario Tennis Aces and Minecraft. Mario Tennis Aces sold over 120,000 copies in its first week, meaning that the game sold through 75% of its initial shipment. For comparison’s sake, the Wii’s New Play Control! Mario Power Tennis sold 57,000 units in its first week and 247,000 copies in total. Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash sold 58,000 units in its first week and 156,000 in total.

As for Minecraft, a new version of the game recently came out, as well as a physical release. Minecraft sold 60,000 in its first week. This means that, despite the previous version being available on the Switch eShop for quite a while, the game still managed to sell through 45% of its initial shipment. One again, to compare, the Wii U version of Minecraft sold 24,000 copies in its first week. In total, the game sold 350,000 units.

  1. Well good to hear. I’m surprised how challenging the adventure mode is for aces i expected it to be a lot easier like usual but it’s great they decided to put some challenge in it and the scenes are very creative too

  2. I admit there are a few things I don’t like about the game but overall, I really enjoy it so I’m happy it’s selling well.

  3. I hate the game lol trading it in for an Xbox lol… I don’t get why the whole world loves tennis so much
