Amiibo Nintendo Switch

Shovel Knight: King Of Cards And Showdown Coming 9th April 2019 Along With The Amiibo

It seems as though Shovel Knight fans have got a fair wait for the upcoming expansions for the game. IGN reports today that both Shovel Knight: King of Cards and Shovel Knight: Showdown won’t be arriving until next year. They have got a set release date of the 9th of April 2019. That’s not all as the amiibo three-pack which features Plague Knight, Specter Knight, and King Knight will also arrive on the same date.

  1. Perhaps I’ll pick up the physical edition at that time. The game is well built and fun.
    Of course, Shantae is better.

  2. Effing finally, don’t like how I have to wait for the amiibos but if they are releasing them that late then they probably hit a snag with either manufacturing or Nintendo or both or something else entirely. Anyways I at least have my preorder from Best Buy since last year so I can be patient.

  3. I’m a little upset about waiting another half a year, especially since KoC was alleged to be out right about now, but so far the original Shovel Knight and its other two boss campaigns are absolute gold and Battle Royale looks incredible as well (a playable Polar Knight? I’m in!). I can stick it out a bit longer for both new games and their amiibo, which will help my friend and I get a point of reference for Plague and Specter costumes.

  4. Man, I don’t think I’ve ever had to wait so long for an already announced amiibo (or amiibo set) before. First it was supposed to be December 2017, then 2018, now it’s 2019. And wait a minute……..I thought that the upcoming Shovel Knight game was Treasure Trove? I thought THAT’S what this amiibo set was for.
