The announcements of HD Wii games being playable on the Nvidea Shield in China came as a big surprise to many when it was announced. We now have sales figures for a few of the games available on the platform including the masterpiece that is Super Mario Galaxy and also the entertaining The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.

I have for years. The tablet version is a beastly tablet and I’ve got a 3D printed grip to attach it to the great controller. So I can stream any game from my gaming PC to a handheld without a single hitch while at home, and if the connection is strong enough, I can do it while I’m out and about (I need to be somewhere with at least 30 mb/s internet and a 5ghz router). If emulation is your jam, it can also handle that with some of the better front ends like Hyperspin that would be unavailable on other Android machines. Toss in the ability to quickly plug it into a TV for “console mode” before the Switch was doing anything like that, and you can have a portable retro game library or take your PC library with you.
The Shield TV box is also one of the best on the market.
I wish I still had a Shield Tablet…
Bare in mind, this is China and not any other market. These games will never be available outside of China without importing a Chinese Shield.
I would imagine in the not so distant future both games will be on the Switch, makes zero sense to not do so considering they will sell millions of both of them at 59.99 each and the work is already done.
Id expected bigger numbers since they got like billions in china. Guess gaming is not big enough yet.
Gaming is popular there, but it’s heavily mobile gaming rather than console gaming.
And Pc is big there.

And twulight princesd isnt a wii emulation its a ganecube game
