Onimusha: Warlords is an action-adventure game that originally released on the Xbox and Playstation 2 in 2002. The game has been remastered for current generation consoles, including the Nintendo Switch, and Steam. Japan got the game on December 20th, and it is going to be released everywhere else on January 15th. Well, a graphics comparison video has been posted on YouTube that shows how the Nintendo Switch remaster compares to the graphics of the Playstation 2 original from 17 years ago. 1. It’s a pretty low effort release from Capcom with only a slight resolution increase and not even to HD but I’ve never played it before and was always interested so I’ll be checking it out.

    1. Capcom are the EA of Japan…
They milk only their most popular franchises,
Kill other good franchises without any regard to what fans want
      Cash in on lazy ports
Release an incomplete game at full price and then charge even more to complete the game via DLC
Though They Make a good game once or twice every year

I honestly think it’s dumb of them that they have continually used the Switch as a lab rat to test game streaming or as a dumping ground for ports.

It’s disrespectful, especially when you consider how the 3DS kept them afloat during the RE6 era.

  2. This is not a remaster and should not be called such! It is not even a remake, it’s just a port that uses all the same assets including the backgrounds and I guess is also the same contentwise. And don’t tell me that the difference in resolution distinguishes it from a port, that’s EXACTLY WHY it is a port! Otherwise it would be an emulation (if it tries to recreate the original appearance on a different platform).

    1. I understand your disappointment…but this is a remastered game fam. If it was a port you would have gotten the ps2 graphics. they did some touch up on it which is pretty visible to see from the looks of it.

      Also Remasters =/= Remakes
