Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night has been a very long time in the making and fans appeared to come away satisfied by the trailer which featured in last month’s Nintendo Direct presentation. To highlight some of the changes that the developers have made to the gothic 2D action adventure title, they have created a video which highlights the visual improvements made since the June 2018 demo of the game. Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is finally set to launch this summer on Nintendo Switch.
Igavania is back in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night – a 2.5D sidescrolling gothic action RPG from the godfather of the genre, Koji Igarashi. Fight, Craft and Explore as you battle endless demons and race to save yourself, and the world, from the encroaching darkness. Discover multiple playable characters, branching ending paths, tons of bosses, the biggest Igavania castle ever, and hundreds of spells, weapons, enemies, loot and cosmetic customizations! Oh btw: we got celebrity voice actors like David Hayter (Snake – Metal Gear) and a live orchestra soundtrack composed by the legendary Michiru Yamane…just saying…

I am already used to waiting as a result of MP4’s delay, so I also don’t mind playing the waiting game with Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night as long as it’ll come out great.
I see the huge improvement when it comes to visuals.
This only means that there’s truly love and effort invested in the making of such project.
And I would gladly add this to my backlog since I’ve always adored games that reminds me of Castlevenia.

This is the ONLY game that I have ever backed on Kickstarter, or any other crowdfunding site. I originally had it for the Wii U, but it has since been switched to the Switch. Highly looking forward to finally playing. Also, I’m really glad that they got WayForward to help them out to fine tune the game as well. WayForward has experience making all kinds of these types of games. So that was a good addition to the team, to help out.
I cant wait for this game. Day one purchase. :3
well, the details in the characters got so much better! I love what they did in the blood demon’s face, it added a lot into the character design. Lovely to see the effort of the developers.
I wonder if there is any confirmation that this character is either based on Elizabeth Bathory or if it’s supposed to be Bathory herself.
