Those of you who have the Nintendo Switch Online app installed on your mobile devices may have noticed that the app received an update today bringing it to Version 1.5.0. If your phone hasn’t automatically updated the app make sure you update it via Android or iOS app stores.
- Various performance and usability improvements implemented, including changing the button display position.
- Bug fixes implemented.
- Supported versions changed. To use this app, iOS 10.0/Android 5.0 or later is now required.
Let’s be brutally honest, this app is completely useless as of right now.

I think Splatoon 2 is keeping it alive.
You can use the app to order some ingame items.
And yeah, it also updates you of your status.
I hope that someday this app can let you message your friends.
I think using Discord to communicate will be a neat feature.

But it’s the only game you can do that with. It’s absurd.

There really should be companions for every first party online game by now to make the app worth using but still only Splatoon 2. Supposed to be a Smash one but heard nothing about it since the Smash direct last November.

The smash one is more than likely going to be talked about in the direct for the next major update for the game. which should be this month. they said it was gonna be around this month anyway.

I think they gave up on it when they realized “…okay, it really IS that inferior to every other alternative.” because it is.

Where is the update that erases this from existence? That’d be the best update for this thing!
