Pokemon the Movie: The Power of Us coming New Year’s Day on Netflix

The Pokemon Company has announced that Pokemon the Movie: The Power of Us will be available for Netflix subscribers to watch on New Year’s Day, which is a rather nice treat. The movie is Ash and Pikachu’s 21st big screen adventure (can you believe that?) Here’s the details:

Celebrate the New Year by joining the iconic duo as they travel to Fula City during its annual Wind Festival, which celebrates the Legendary Pokémon Lugia. While there, they meet a wide variety of characters, including a young athlete, a compulsive liar, a shy researcher, a bitter old woman, and a little girl with a big secret. When a series of threats endangers the festival and the city, they must all learn to work together to save the day. And what part does the Mythical Pokémon Zeraora play?

    1. In the games, mythical Pokemon are not accessible in the games & you need Mystery Gift or a code to get them where as legendary Pokemon are easily found in the game without any need for a code. Least that’s how I’ve always defined them. (Deoxys, for example, use to be a mythical Pokemon til OR/AS made him catchable without a code or Mystery Gift through it’s Delta Episode.) As for the difference between the two in the anime, I got no clue.

  1. I’ll keep my eye out for this. I need to watch the other Pokemon movies I’ve missed at some point. Even though I lost interest in the anime, I always continued to care about the films. Speaking of, I need to watch another episode of the Sun/Moon adventures.
