Nintendo does not expect the coronavirus to have an impact on Switch sales in North America & Europe

The outbreak of the coronavirus has been a source of increasing concern for many countries, especially China. Video gaming companies, such as Nintendo, are having to change some plans to avoid any potential impacts that the coronavirus outbreak could cause. Nintendo’s delay of the manufacturing of some of their products, including Switch consoles, was announced the other day, but a Nintendo of America spokesperson has sent a statement to Kotaku confirming that this will only apply to the Japanese market. You can see their statement in full, where they explained why, down below.

“We can confirm that the manufacturing of some Nintendo products for the Japanese market has been delayed due to the impact of 2019-nCoV coronavirus outbreak. Nintendo does not anticipate a significant impact on our broader global supply chain for systems and accessories at this time, and product sales in North America and Europe, including preorders, are not affected. We would like to express our concern and support for all those affected by the coronavirus during this challenging time.”

    1. I love it when random people on the internet think they know how a billion dollar company should go about. Its always hilarious.
