Nintendo has released another brand new update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons. This update brings the game to version 1.2.1. There are no new features added in the update, and the official patch notes are very short. The only thing Nintendo says is that they “addressed issues to further ensure an enjoyable gaming experience”. No issues were specifically mentioned in the patch notes.

I hope Redd now appears more often. I’ve seen him 2 times since the art gallery update happened and I no longer want to complete the museum.

Kind of upset about the lack of info. They weren’t transparent about the last changes nerfing bug spawn rates in conjunction with the announced changes to the interest rates. I don’t time travel, but the amount of grinding that was still required in order to make your own tarantula island was enough to make me only do it when Flick was visiting; it still required a bamboo island for efficiency, which would statistically take 10 nook mile tickets (20K nook miles) to get, and then the time it took to shape the island into a suitable tarantula spawning one. All of that for 400k+ bells IF Flick is on your island isn’t worth it ESPECIALLY when you consider how many bells you can make from turnips.
Really hoping there’s no hidden nerfs in this change. :/
I agree the lack of info sucks, (hopefully you dont play Fortnite, they have released patch notes in over a year, after doing so for so long). But do keep in mind the tarantula island is rare and not supposed to be farmed constantly for a reason, it would break the game and everyone would be rich so fast, what fun is that? There are tons of other ways to earn bells, and yes, turnips are that reason. There are plenty of ways to find ways to sell your turnips, certain websites, and Reddit all have resources. But I do agree the lack of information is slightly disappointing.
Heres my Flick tip; last time he came in made 600k without doing anything extra. I constantly get certain bugs flying around my island, and when they do, I catch them and store them away until Flick comes, and boom instant money. Heres what to watch for: Peacock, Great Purple Emperor, Madagascar, Rajah, Wasps!, GA Birdwing, Orchad Mantis, Agrias, Atlas Moth, (and maybe a few others I cant think of right now), but these ones are the best. I havent had him in over 10 days, and I bet I have 750k+ waiting for me right now.
Be patient, this game isnt meant to be beat in one week.
