A Nintendo representative has told Polygon that it aware of the game-breaking bug in the charming Paper Mario: The Origami King. The team behind the game is working hard to deliver a fix which will be addressed in a forthcoming software update. Hopefully this software update for Paper Mario: The Origami King will be delivered asap.

I presume the update will fix any save files that have already fallen victim to this bug? As opposed to fixing the problem but still requiring affected players to start from scratch?
