Nintendo is looking to hire level designers for 2D action games

It is pretty common for Nintendo to recruit people to work for the company. And once in a while, Nintendo’s job openings give a small preview of what we may see in the future. For example, Nintendo of Japan is currently looking for level designers to work for 2D action games. Nintendo says that the people hired will make β€œspecifications for objects placed in game courses” at Nintendo’s Tokyo headquarters.

  1. Have they tried looking at some of the top Mario Maker 2 course creators? Some of those people come up with some really impressive stuff.

    Light-hearted suggestion aside, this does seem like a good opportunity for whoever does get involved.

  3. Well, I really hope there will be a 2d Metroid at some point and I imagine there’s always gona be 2d in mind with Nintendo with games such as yoshi etc.
